Global Zero's primary objective is to help achieve the phased and verified elimination of nuclear weapons around the world, as well as, to better safeguard and secure worldwide nuclear materials. No more nukes equals "global zero." We will pursue grassroots events and activities as suggested by the international movement, Global Zero, and as identified through our own reflection and self-study in our St. Agnes chapter. The secondary objective of Global Zero is to educate ourselves about nuclear weapons from scientific, historical, moral, and even pop-culture perspectives to ensure that we are able to campaign competently to protect ourselves, our future, and human civilization from the threat of nuclear catastrophe. Our self-education efforts will go beyond just history, science, international relations theory, and ethics. We will also undertake a survey of nuclear weapons in literature, in art, in music, in movies, and even in video games.
