Sophomore Retreat Drivers Needed!
We are in need of volunteer drivers/chaperones for the community service portion of the Sophomore Retreat on Wednesday, February 15. Similar to the 9th grade retreat, a portion of the Sophomore retreat is Service to the Community. The sophomores will be going out in groups to serve a variety of agencies. These projects have been a source of great satisfaction (and fun) for those who have been involved in the past and provide an excellent opportunity to get to know some of your daughter's classmates and participate alongside them. Your commitment will be a half day, meeting at 8 a.m., arriving at organziations by 8:45-9:00 a.m., and returning to SAA by 1:00 p.m. More information will be coming, primarily through Tiger Tracks -- so please keep up-to-date there.
In order to assign drivers to the groups, we will be needing some information. We will use the primary email address given as the main contact for additional driver information, which will be sent as the day comes closer. Drivers are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis and the date stamp of your email serves as that basis. Every attempt will be made to assign you to your daughter's group -- however, no guarantees are given.
If you have any further questions about the retreat service projects, please contact Terri Dougherty (Retreat Service Chair) at 713-303-2593 or at terridougherty@gmail.com. Please note that even if you have previously signed up to help drive on the summer volunteer form , you still must fill in the form, as it has vehicle capacity information. Dads are more than welcome, too! Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you for a fun, productive day!
