Retreats
All of our students are expected to attend grade level retreats. These retreats provide a wonderful opportunity to take a step back and be renewed emotionally and spiritually. The retreats also help our students develop deeper bonds of community with classmates and teachers.
Dominican Retreat Service Our 9th grade and 10th grade students participate in community service as part of their class retreat. These students go out to local service agencies to lend a helping hand for half a day of their retreat. They work at food pantries, do landscaping work, sort clothes or do whatever is needed to help those in need in our community. In fact, in January of 2009, our entire Sophomore class went to Galveston for their retreat to help with the Hurricane Ike Recovery Effort.
