College Counselor
St. Agnes Academy, a Catholic college-preparatory Dominican high school for young women in southwest Houston, is seeking a College Counselor to join our current staff in counseling junior and senior students. Duties and responsibilities included counseling approximately 60 juniors and 60 seniors through the college application process, letter writing, assisting in group guidance activities, preparing the summer opportunities for students, visiting college campuses, attending regional and national conferences and coordinating all junior guidance for the department.
A bachelor's Degree is required with a Master's Degree preferred. Candidates should have at least three years' experience in school college counseling or college admissions. Effective communication skills, strong organizational skills and an energetic desire in motivating and mentoring high school juniors and seniors are required. Director of Athletics (to begin in June 2012)
St. Agnes Academy, a Catholic, college-preparatory Dominican high school for young women in southwest Houston, is seeking a Director of Athletics to lead the school's athletics and wellness programs. The Director has direct responsibility for 12 athletic teams (most of which are part of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools conference), hires and supervises the coaching staff, and provides vision for the school's new 18-acre athletics complex, as well as athletic facilities on the Academy's core campus at 9000 Bellaire Boulevard. The Director will serve as a representative of the Academy's mission, and as an athletics department spokesperson for media, advancement and admissions initiatives. The Athletic Director reports to the Principal. The Director must be an experienced administrative leader with head coaching experience, preferably with high school girls. Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree, with a master's degree preferred. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
