Debbie joined the faculty at St. Agnes Academy in August of 1985 as a physical education teacher and coach. The following year Debbie took on the role of athletic director as well and served in that position until May of 1994. After joining the counseling staff in the fall of 1994, Debbie continued to coach the golf program for many years; retiring from all athletics in 2002. Debbie graduated from Houston Baptist University with a B.S. in History and Physical Education in 1978. During her time at HBU, Debbie was an All-American in golf. She earned her Master of Education from the University of Houston in 1979 and her counseling certificate from Houston Baptist University in 1994. Debbie is beginning her twenty-seventh year at St. Agnes and her eleventh year as the Director of Guidance. In addition to reading and exercising, Debbie still maintains a single digit handicap in golf. |

Jamie joined the St. Agnes counseling department in 2009 after serving as Dean of Students and Coordinator of Academic Intervention at an urban charter high school in the San Francisco Bay Area. Jamie began her career in education immediately upon graduation from Vanderbilt University, where she received her B.S. in secondary education and mathematics in 2000. After teaching two years in Fort Bend ISD, she decided to join the Vanderbilt Office of Undergraduate Admissions' staff while completing her M.Ed. in Human Development Counseling at Peabody College (Vanderbilt). After her master's program, Jamie headed back to Houston for a one-year principal certification program at University of St. Thomas while working as a high school counselor and finishing her principal internship. At SAA, Jamie serves as a sponsor for Voices of Black Youth and helps run the Safe Listeners program with her colleague and friend, Debbie Sieck. Jamie enjoys step aerobics, watching sports (especially football), reading, traveling, and indulging in delicious dining experiences. |

Sarah joined the faculty at St. Agnes Academy in August of 2011 as the Associate Director of College Counseling. She attended Howard Payne University where she earned a B.A. in English and Secondary Education. During her time at HPU, she played on the Yellow Jackets Ladies' tennis team. In addition, she received her Master's in Counseling at University of Houston at Victoria. Sarah has spent the last twelve years at Elkins High School in Fort Bend ISD, the last six years as a school counselor and the previous six as an English teacher. Along with being a mother to her seven-year old daughter and running and cycling with her husband, Sarah enjoys spending time hunting for treasures in vintage clothing stores and attempting fine cuisine cooking. |

Katy came to St. Agnes in 2007 as one of the Associate Directors of College Counseling after a 2 year position as a College Counselor at Ibn Khuldoon National School in Bahrain. At IKNS, she assisted national students with IB and High School Diplomas applying to colleges and universities in the US, UK, Canada, Europe and even Australia. Katy started her counseling career in Northern California (where she was born and raised) in middle and high schools in the Bay Area. She has an AA in Criminal Justice, a BA in Sociology from California State University Hayward (now CSU East Bay) and earned her MA in Counseling with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential from the Chapman University campus located in northern California. Katy loves to travel and has been to Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India and Central America. In her spare time she likes to read, stay active and visit different colleges around the US. She currently lives in Houston with her husband and daughter (born in March 2010) and their two dogs and one cat. |

Mary Ann joined the Guidance Department at St. Agnes in 1993. Mary Ann came to St. Agnes with a long history of working with adolescents and their families as a clinical social worker both in Houston and in New Orleans at Family Services and Covenant House. Mary Ann holds a Master's in Social Work from Tulane University and a Masters in Religious Education from Notre Dame School of Theology in New Orleans. Prior to entering the field of social work Mary Ann worked as a parish religious education director and director of adolescent catechesis for the Diocese of Baton Rouge. After finishing her undergraduate work in education at Our Lady of Holy Cross College in New Orleans she taught junior and high school English. As a counselor at St Agnes Mary Ann is passionate about her work and views her role with the young women at St. Agnes as advocate, counselor and guide. She is a fellow of the Houston-Galveston Psychoanalytic Institute, a member of the Houston-Galveston Psychoanalytic Society, a licensed social worker in the state of Texas with Advanced Clinical standing, a member of the National Association of Social Workers and an active member of the Houston area Independent Schools Counselors Association. As a native of New Orleans Mary Ann's roots run deep in that city. She loves to cook and eat-a favorite is red beans and rice; she loves jazz, Mardi Gras, The Saints, and just talking about "her city." As a long time resident of Houston she loves it spirit, the opportunities it offers and it wealth of art and theater. She dabbles in photography and hopes one day to have the time to explore her artistic side. |

Debbie is a proud St. Agnes graduate and a member of the class of 1987. She attended Cornell College where she received her BA in Elementary Education. In lieu of teaching, Debbie spent two years as the Director of Residence Life at a small college in Illinois training/supervising the resident advisors and organizing all student housing. Upon returning to Houston, Debbie searched for a way to combine her two passions, working in education and student activities. Mentored by her own St. Agnes guidance counselor, Eva Bookout, Debbie enrolled in the UH Graduate College of Social Work ultimately receiving her master's degree and becoming a licensed master social worker in the state of Texas . In the fall of 2000, Debbie became a counselor at SAA and has worked with freshmen and sophomores for the last eleven years. To fulfill her interest in student activities she has enjoyed being an advisor for the St. Agnes Student Council for the last seven years. A lover of music, Debbie is passionate about her iPod and believes that good friends and a good music mix can inspire great things. |

Lisa joined St. Agnes Academy in August of 2007 in the newly created position of Coordinator of Academic Services. Lisa received her Bachelor's degree in Education and her Master's degree in Exceptionality from the University of St. Thomas. Lisa spent ten years working at the lab school at UST where she developed and practiced techniques for understanding the theory of learning. Eventually she and a coworker opened their own school with the backing of parents interested in pursuing an innovative way to teach students with learning differences. Lisa then worked for several years as a private tutor before joining SAA. Lisa enjoys the learning experiences of traveling, the rewards as well as the frustration of gardening and the simple joy of friendships. |

Lisa joined the St. Agnes community in August of 2000 as a part-time assistant for the counselors and registrar. While still working in a part-time capacity, Lisa's primary role is preparing transcripts for the college admissions process. Lisa attended Lamar University from 1974-1976. In her spare time Lisa enjoys exercising and reading. |

Susan joined the staff at St. Agnes Academy in August of 2005 as head of Attendance, Nurse and Assistant to the Dean of Students. Susan joined the guidance office in the fall of 2008 as the Administrative Assistant to the Counselors. Susan attended Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas 1977-1979. Susan has been associated with St. Agnes Academy since 1998 when her daughter entered as a freshman. She served as Booster Club President 2000-2001 and Vice-President 1999-2000. In addition to her administrative duties, Susan is part of the St. Agnes Tennis program as the Assistant Varsity Tennis Coach. |
